Claude Delisle

Ghostpine Canoe and Paddle is owned and operated by Claude Delisle. Claude is an avid outdoorsman, experienced in paddling, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, and anything else he can think to do to get outside. He began canoeing as a young boy when his dad would take him on fishing trips with his brothers. His father instilled a love of the outdoors in all of his boys. 

 

Many years later he had the opportunity to purchase a canoe that needed restoration, and his passion for woodworking was blended with his passion for the outdoors.

Research on how to restore his new purchase led him to the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association, where he has now been involved as a member of the Northwest Chapter for more than a decade.

Claude's restoration work is impeccable, and he's able to restore these beautiful old boats to their former glory, returning them to the lakes and rivers to live again.

For many people, their canoe is a part of the family. It's full of history and memories of days on the lake or river with family and friends. It's a legacy for the future generations that still carries a piece of the past every time it enters the water. Claude's passion is helping families keep those traditions and memories alive.
